Just wrapped up my 6 meter painting of New York 🗽🎨

Sometimes when something isn’t quite working, you have to take the long way around - step back, rethink, or strip it back completely to let it breathe. That process is all part of the journey, and I’m really happy with where this one landed.

Grateful for a fun, inspiring moment in the studio with Ingrid, Penny, and Akiko at the Art Students League - nothing beats creating alongside fellow artists.

Today was a turning point. Standing in front of six meters of paint, I let go of what wasn’t working - scraping back, simplifying, clearing space for the piece to breathe. It’s strange how something can feel so necessary one day and completely wrong the next, but that’s part of the process: listening, adjusting, trusting.

After a tougher day yesterday, today felt lighter, more intuitive. Each mark now feels more intentional, like the painting is finally speaking in its own voice. I can see the finish line from here… almost there.
