Meet Stetson, my second commission for Hilary, a returning client who first asked me to paint her beloved dog Mochi. Soon these two will hang side by side on her mum’s wall, a little duo of love and memory.

I created Stetson in coloured watercolour pencils while I was in Chicago and mailed it from New York. Hilary received it yesterday and is beyond excited to gift it for Christmas. Moments like this are why I feel so honoured to do what I do creating art that carries someone’s heart in it.

Meet Apple 🍎🐶 - my latest dog commission in New York City.
Before the holidays, Pam reached out after seeing my work at Doggy Style on University Place, where Andi beautifully displays some of my pieces. She hoped Apple’s portrait could be ready in time for a special birthday gift for her husband.

I began the drawing in Chicago just after Thanksgiving and finished it back in NYC. I chose to keep it in pencil as I felt it captured Apple’s true character and honestly adding color felt like it would take away from the depth and intention Pam wanted.

I hand-delivered the portrait yesterday morning, and seeing Pam’s joy was the perfect end to the year.

If you’d like a portrait of your dog or any other beloved animal, I’m currently taking commissions. 🤍

Sometimes you have to take a walk on the wild side

Sometimes you have to take a walk on the wild side of your own creativity.
These are the last visuals of my 6 meters Sahara painting - a piece that began with sketches after crossing the desert with Nomads, and grew into a journey of letting go, taping off lines, opening space, and allowing the work to become bigger than me.

There’s a freedom that comes when you stop controlling every brushstroke and trust the wildness inside you. This painting is a reminder of what becomes possible when you give yourself permission to go all in.

There’s a pulse that rises from the inner core of my being-the creative force that refuses to be quiet. ✨
Artistic freedom feels like letting that energy move through me without hesitation… a motivation and desire so strong it carries me over every obstacle and keeps me coming back to the canvas, again and again.
