Authentic Amaryllis 🌺
What began as a drawing evolved into a painting, and then into a silkscreen print. I wanted to study registration closely and see how the image translated across mediums. Splitting each color, working with transparencies, and printing layer by layer revealed unexpected depth and new relationships as the colors overlapped. I loved every part of this process - watching the image slowly come alive through accumulation.
Can’t wait to get back to The Art Students League to dive into Lithography next. 🙏

Authentic Amaryllis - in progress 🌺
I scaled this piece up into a long, enlarged version for a show at The Art Students League in 2024 painting with simple household paints from Home Depot. Keeping the original composition while working at a larger scale became a powerful graphic exercise - bold, physical, and intuitive.
This process opened the door to my screen printing practice, where form, repetition, and gesture continue to evolve across mediums.

This Authentic Amaryllis bloomed from a bulb Coco was gifted two years ago.
Sitting in my kitchen, a sudden flash of red stopped me in my tracks - the strength, the presence, the quiet insistence of this flower.

I was drawn to draw it, to witness it, to capture its beauty and resilience.
It felt like a reminder.
Strength lives within us, even when unseen, even when dormant.

We are all flowers 🌺

Sahara Sunrise This series was born after walking

Sahara Sunrise
This series was born after walking the Sahara with Nomads, waking before dawn to witness the desert ignite with light. I painted lengthways to echo the horizon, moving with the waves and patterns of the sandscapes - as if the land itself became water on fire. Each brushstroke carries the rhythm of that morning stillness, heat, and awe.

This work was exhibited in New York in the summer of 2024 as part of my two-year Certificate Program at The Art Students League of New York.

Jour et Nuit.
Coco & I wandering Paris, collecting fragments of the city the way one collects breath.
At Maison Atelier Lurçat, I traced numbers and street signs onto Canson paper - small gestures, quiet symbols, borrowed time.

Inspired by Chantal Akerman’s Jour et Nuit, this walk became a prelude to my next silkscreen print-where day slips into night, observation becomes memory, and Paris folds itself into New York.
Back to The Art Students League soon, carrying these traces with me.
